Karly from Paisley Roots is running a fun little contest inspired by Taylor Swift’s “Shake it Off” music video. And even though I already have way too much sewing I need to get done… I was inspired and couldn’t help but make something!
Mack loves Shake it Off. He will beg for me to put the music video on the TV on repeat and dance with him. I ususally oblige, because I really like the song too, though I do throw other favorite songs in there– All About that Bass, Happy, Marry You, Good Time, Hot Diggity… and now I need to make a list of awesome dance songs.
But, as usual, I digress.
The general source of visual inspiration.
Then to choose from a few lyrics. The runners up were:
All of which I like. They may yet end up on shirts.

You can download the silhouette file HERE
As usual, I made the shirt using freezer paper stenciling. If you haven’t ever tried that, you definitely should! I have a tutorial here.
The arm detail in the Thumbs Up Tee is so fun.
Mack is also wearing a pair of Small Fry Skinny Jeans I have yet to blog about.
Materials for the shirt all came from a men’s medium baseball tee from Old Navy. Yay for upcycling!
Are you ready for a dance party?
Shake it off! Nah, nah, shake it off!
