Spring Break Pajama Party Tour

Ah, Spring Break. What better time to finally sew your kids’ Christmas jammies.

Yes, you read that right.

I bought fabric and grabbed the Pajama Party PJ’s for Christmas jammies this past year, but with moving and one thing and another, they didn’t quite make an appearance Christmas Eve.

The boys love whenever I make anything for them, so these pajama pants have been a big hit. They each have a pair of Superman and Ninja Turtles PJ pants, and they love wearing matching clothes to bed.

These pants are pretty baggy, which makes them super comfy. The length though, did cause a little bit of grief. The Badenator tried climbing the stairs and kept getting stuck because he was standing on the bottom of his pants. Both my kids are pretty short, so I’m going to bring the hems up further. In the picture above, Mackathanial’s pants are sitting at his natural waist, and the length is fine. However, when I pulled them up that high he said, “why are my pants all the way up here at my belly button? This is crazy business mom!”

The Badenator is wearing cloth diapers under his and they fit pretty well.  I made him the size 2, and the cloth diaper fills the rise entirely. I usually stuff his diaper with 2 inserts for bedtime, so he’s not overly bulky. If you stuff more than that, you might want to add a bit of extra length to the rise.

This “sew your stash” project has been a pretty fun one. Do you have a pajama pattern you own but haven’t ever sewn?

I sure understand late Christmas PJs!! I had to do the t-shirts only on Christmas morning and then gave them the bottoms a couple of weeks later.
