Fostering Creativity

Monster Beanie

My favorite things to crochet are baby gifts.  I think I have CADD (crochet attention deficit disorder, of course), because I have a hard time staying focused on large items.  Little hats and booties and such are perfect projects for me.  And what better gift for this little monster than a monster hat?  Ridiculously adorable.

I mean seriously, look at him!  That Badenator is one of my favorites.

The pattern is from Sarah over at Repeat Crafter Me.  She has some really creative and cute crochet hat ideas.  I have also used her patterns for owl hats and lamb hats.  Her tutorials are nice for beginners and the designs are interesting enough to keep my attention!

I used Lion Brand Cotton-Ease yarn in Lime, Lake, and Turquoise, with some scraps of some unknown white and black.  Anyone who has heard me talk about yarn knows that I am in love with Cotton-Ease.  It is my go-to yarn for any kind of project.  It is sturdy and soft and washes ever so nicely!  I had a scare a few months ago when I thought Lion Brand had discontinued it.  Luckily, I was mistaken and I ordered about 20 skeins of it as soon as I found out ;).

So soft and warm, the Badenator can even sleep in it.  Nighty night, sweet little monster!
