*Disclaimer: I received the materials to make this headband free of charge from Bowtique Emilee for this tutorial and giveaway*
THE GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED
I made a really cute headband today using supplies from Bowtique Emilee! Their website is very user-friendly, and they have an awesome selection of materials so you can completely customize your accessories.
Here’s what I received in the mail:
To make my headband, I first used a very scientific and mathematical method of figuring out how much elastic to cut (aka wrapping it around a kid’s head). I added a little bit, maybe an inch or so, in order to have room to tie it.
You can use any type of bonding technique to attach the flowers to the elastic – hot glue, sewing, alligator clips, safety pins. I opted for safety pins because a) I can rearrange the flowers or remove them to my liking, and b) I couldn’t find my hot glue gun. But I really do like that I can take the flowers on and off, put one on the smaller ponytail holder, use the big flower as a brooch, etc. The sky is the limit!
Look how cute! And both the 8-year-old and the not-even-2-year-old can wear it!
