Back in August, I signed up for a really fun blog hop. Due to some unforeseen circumstances, I am just getting to posting about it now!
For the mystery challenge, I was challenged to use the theme “the solar system” to create something. My first idea… well, it was extremely cheesy.
On a T-shirt for Mack. Lol. I thought it would be really funny. Especially if I put Galileo on there with his grumpy face.
Maybe I’ll still do it.
I decided to go in a direction that was a little more classy. Something simple and classic, though maybe not as classy as Jim wearing his tux to work (I’m rewatching The Office ;))
*disclaimer: It’s really difficult to get decent pictures of the boys together, so none made the final cut!*
For Mack we have a long-sleeved black T-shirt with the Orion constellation stenciled on the front. When I had a paper route in high school I loved looking for constellations in the still-dark sky, and Orion has always been a favorite of mine.
Pattern: Classic Ringer sizes 12 months & 3
Fabric: thrifted jersey knit sheet
I love the way these shirts turned out! They are simple with a little splash of geeky fun. The challenge was a great experience and I really had to think outside of the box.
One thing I didn’t like about the challenge: I had “Interplanet Janet” stuck in my head for about 3 weeks!
